 | Dr. Thurston received Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Biology from the University of Idaho and Whitworth College respectively, and went on to receive his MD from the University of Washington in Seattle.

 | He grew up in St. Maries, where his father was a surgeon and family practitioner. Dr. Thurston is Board Certified in Family Practice and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Advanced Life Support and Basic Cardiac Life Support.

 | In 2005, he served as President of the Idaho Medical Association and he is currently serving as Chief of Staff at Benewah Community Hospital and is the Medical Director for St. Maries Ambulance Service and St. Maries Volunteer Community Clinic.

 | He is married to Karen, has 4 children and enjoys family, running and anything outdoors.
