For nearly 50 years Benewah Community Hospital has been providing high quality healthcare to individuals, families and visitors in St. Maries, Benewah, Shoshone and Kootenai counties. We are a 19-bed Critical Access Hospital, offering our patients a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services providing high quality care in a rural setting. Our administration and staff are dedicated to providing you with excellent care, and as our guest, you will find our staff courteous, respectful and enthusiastic.
In 2004, we completed a $1.6 million expansion, which includes a new state-of-the-art operating suite, expansion and renovation of our old Operating Room, and a total remodel of our Medical-Surgical Nurses Station. In 2005, we added a 16-slice CT scanner and in 2007, we renovated our patient registration areas to make it more comfortable and private for our patients.
Benewah Community Hospital's Emergency Room is fully staffed, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All ER physicians are Board Certified with Advanced Life Support training in trauma, cardiac and pediatrics.
