Benewah Community Hospital and St. Maries Family Medicine will bill your insurance company if the proper identification card and pertinent insurance information is provided. Please remember: your health coverage terms are an agreement between you and your insurance carrier. You are responsible for fulfilling your portion of the terms.
Some insurance companies now require pre-certification or pre-authorization prior to your visit. We will be happy to make this call for you if you notify us in advance. However, it is your responsibility, along with your physician, to obtain pre-authorization. You will be responsible for charges incurred should your insurance company deny your hosptial stay.
You will be expected to pay your estimated co-payment and deductible at the time of registration. You may be asked to leave a deposit if we are unable to determine what your co-payment will be.
During admission you will be asked to sign a form authorizing your insurance company to assign benefits to the hospital. Questions regarding insurance coverage or health benefits should be directed to your insurance company.
