Benewah Community Hospital is a county-owned, non-profit critical access hospital. Benewah Community Hospital also owns and operates St. Maries Family Medicine under the same license. It is controlled by a seven member Board of Trustees who are appointed by the Benewah County Commissioners. Both facilities are managed by QHR, LLC who report directly to the Board of Trustees.
All financial resources remaining after expenses are allocated to improving technology, patient services, and facilities. Any contribution that you may wish to make to support your hospital may be made directly to the hospital in care of our charitable organization, known as the BetterCARE committee.
The Board of Trustees determines hospital policy and provides direction and counsel on management, administrative planning and development. Trustees are responsible for hospital compliance with applicable legal requirements, maintenance of professional and ethical standards of health services, sound financial management, and quality and operational excellence.
Board Meetings are held monthly and are open to the public.
