Coronavirus Updates – Visitor Policy

The health and safety of our staff and community is BCH’s highest priority. Many restrictions have been put into place over the last year during the COVID-19 pandemic. We know how important it is for our patients to be with their loved ones when they are ill/hospitalized.

As COVID positive tests continue to decline in our community, we have opened up our visitor policy in the Emergency Department and the Medical/Surgical Unit to allow one (1) visitor per patient per day (visitor to be chosen by patient). This exclude patients with confirmed/suspected COVID-19. Once a visitor leaves for the day, they cannot re-enter the hospital until the next business day.

Patients in Hospice Care will be allowed to have family and close friends visit them at end of life. Hospice patients will have individualized visitation plans per each family.

Visitors MUST wear a face mask during their ENTIRE visit, and they MUST remain in the patient room. All visitors will participate in the screening process prior to entering the facility.

Visitors must also be at least 18 years of age, must be free of fever within the last 72-hours, and must not have any other, current symptoms of COVID-19.

BCH thanks you for your understanding during the COVID-19 pandemic as we strive to keep our staff and community healthy!
