Our Chemotherapy Services department is conveniently located on the second floor of Benewah Community Hospital (BCH). Infusion services such as chemotherapy and other intravenous treatment can be exhausting to the patients. At Benewah Community Hospital, we offer comfortable, personal, and individualized care, closer to home. We take a holistic approach to care, working with your doctor as part of your personalized treatment plan that is best for you. Services include but are not limited to:
- Chemotherapy infusions and injections
- Chemotherapy education
- Chemotherapy Pump removal
- Blood draws and port flushes
- Blood and Platelet Transfusions
- Growth Factor administration to maintain blood counts (Neupogen, Neulasta, Epogen)
- IV Medications and Hydration Therapy
Outpatient Chemotherapy at BCH provides specialized care and individualized treatment for a wide variety of cancers. Any of the above therapies can be ordered by any physician or specialist, regardless of where that physician’s office is located and regardless of whether or not they are on staff at BCH. We are staffed with experienced, highly trained, compassionate infusion nurses, and we are available for scheduled appointments.
