Patients are our Family – Patient Testimonial

Patients are our Family – Patient Testimonial

Merry Aschinger was treated in BCH’s Swing Bed Program and credits it and the staff for her progress. Swing beds are used as a way for patients to be given ongoing care without changing their location, providing them an opportunity to continue to heal comfortably.

“I found people who loved their work, their fellow staff members and their patients. The people who care for me were the best part of my swing bed stay. The staff was wonderful. I had a good time and didn’t even realize how much they were helping. I chose to use the Swing Bed Program for my therapy because it was convenient. I still received hospital care, the monitoring any my prescriptions, but the Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist were in control of my rehab. So now, today, I am going home with the tools and skills I need to continue to improve. I can wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone who needs it; you will receive the tools you need, support you need and the encouragement you need.”
