St. Maries is a quiet town situated in a beautiful timbered valley which includes two major rivers and a multitude of lake. The mountains, rivers, lakes and forests provide a grand backdrop for the town, which was founded in the 1880’s at the confluence of the St. Joe and St. Maries Rivers. With a population of approx. 2,800, St. Maries is located 55 miles south from the city of Coeur d’Alene, ID and 63 miles from Spokane, WA. Small town living close to bigger city amenities!
Our beautiful North Idaho location provides endless recreational opportunities. Spend time on the water swimming, boating, or fishing, explore the beautiful wilderness on many hiking and biking trails. Camping, ATV Riding, Snowmobiling, Skiing, etc. – you can do it all! St. Maries also offers many events throughout the year, to include a County Fair, Horse Shows, Motorcycle Races, Snowmobile Rides, Paint Nights/Craft Events, Summer Concerts in the City Park, World Jet Boat Races, Paul Bunyan Days Labor Day Celebration and more!
