POSITION: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

JOB SUMMARY: Are you looking to relocate to a beautiful rural community and become an active member in St. Maries Idaho? Benewah Community Hospital is looking for a Chief Executive Officer who has experience with a county owned Critical Access Hospitals and regulatory compliance oversite, positive provider relations, promote staff retention and longevity.

• Provides overall leadership and staff direction while establishing a culture of positive, open communication, accountability, and thoughtful decision-making.
• Approves and adopts administrative/operational policies, procedures; maintains accountability for the performance of the entire facility.
• Stays current with industry standards, policies and operations.
• Overall responsibility for the design, marketing, promotion, delivery, risk management and quality of healthcare programs and services provided to communities served.
• Ensures effective management of the human resources at BCH according to current, authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations.
• Reviews and approves all financial reports, budgets and major expenditures, subject to the ultimate authority and control of the hospital’s governing board.
• Oversees recruitment and retention, employee satisfaction and engagement, and maximizing growth potential of employees.
• Effectively engages and establishes strong working relationships with the employees and others, as well as within the communities served by BCH.
• Is active and intentional in Provider relationships: fostering relationships, enhance recruitment, and improve engagement.
• Develop a strategic plan.
• Required to live within thirty (30) minutes of the facility. 

Qualifications/Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred, in Business, Healthcare Management, or other relevant field. Previous experience in direct patient care, hospital finance, and/or hospital administration required.
