Chemotherapy: Invaluable Service

For Julian Gonzalez, Benewah Community Hospital’s Chemotherapy/Outpatient Infusion Program, co-coordinated by Registered Nurses Debbie Pritchard and Janis Worch, has been a Godsend. For years, Dr. Gonzalez would travel to Spokane for weekly treatments, while still working full-time. Now he says he receives high-quality, efficient care in the comfort of his hometown facility.

“The service is invaluable to the community, and you couldn’t have picked two better people to run it. They are extremely efficient, and they provide a warm environment. You feel very comfortable and at home here. They are attentive to your needs and offer a very good application of nursing techniques.”

In fact, Dr. Gonzales said, receiving chemotherapy treatments at Benewah Community Hospital is more than just convenient, it’s almost enjoyable.

“I don’t feel like I’m coming to see chemo nurses, I’m coming to see friends.”
